Sometimes when you're in a dark place you think you've been buried, but you've actually been planted.

WHAT DRIVES MY WORK WITH YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS?
Through my years working in both hospital and school-based mental health programs, I've been lucky enough to follow my lifelong passion for supporting young people in managing the very big emotions and complex situations that face them as they navigate the world.
In many cases, youth and young adults don't have the language or tools to address the social, emotional, academic, familial and/or developmental stresses they might face. As a result, some of these individuals become at-risk for experiencing declining feelings of overall well-being. In turn, other aspects of life including school, work, and relationships, can be significantly impacted.
In counselling young people, I view myself as both an agent and advocate, supporting each client to build capacity through their own personal strengths. The path of each individual is a highly personal experience, and my primary therapeutic goal is to align with my clients as they overcome obstacles to build toward their best life-journey.
I believe very strongly in my work with clients and I look forward to hearing your personal story!
